Why do people forget the laws?

With the whole Casey Anthony trail going on it got me to thinking. Everybody in the media from day one said she was guilty but it's "Innocent until proven guilty." Why do people jump on the Nancy Grace bandwagon and say she's guilty even though there isn't solid proof that she is guilty?
