Should we the people have the right to fire a public servant (politician)?

We do have the right to "fire" politicians. It is called the right of recall. Through petition, we can demand that an election is held where we can decide by vote to oust a politician from his or her job. Here in Miami, the voters just got rid of a corrupt mayor and councilwoman with the ballot. New people who will hopefully be more honest replaced them.
