Should the names of people accused of heinous crimes such as murder, rape and child molestation be published?

As in the case of Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the names of accused rapists, murderers, etc are splashed all across the news media before trial. They are crucified and denied the presumption of innocence by the press. Many of these people are judged not guilty. But getting back their reputations after the trial is impossible.
