Osama Bin Laden bodyguards?

My question is why didnt he have like 30 or 50 highly armed guards present at his compound since he is such a high value target? why did the firefight only take a few minutes? I would imagine that there would be way more casualties from both sides and way more security given the fact that osama was world's number 1 most wanted.....
